Green Day Dedicate A Song To Amy Winehouse

NME magazine reports that Green Day dedicated one of their songs to a British performer Amy Winehouse. The song “Amy” will go into the “Dos!” album, which is expected to be released in the middle of November.

Album “Dos!” is a second part of the album trilogy, which is being released by Green Day. The first one “Uno!” will be released in September; the third one “Tre!” will come out in January 2013. About 38 songs will be included into these 3 albums

Groups’ leader Billie Joe Armstrong notes that he has never personally met Amy Winehouse, but still considers her death “a tragic loss”

British singer Amy Winehouse did at the age of 27 on 23rd July 2011. The performer released only two studio albums: “Frank” in 2003 and “Back to Black” in 2006 during her short career. “Lioness: Hidden Treasures”, an album which was not immediately released to the audience, came out in 2011.
